We aren't just sitting, we are sitting hunched over staring at our phones and laptops 6-8 hours a day, which by the way, can increase your risk of early death, heart disease, and stroke by up to 30%. By simply moving more, we could change our health and our future. Still, most Americans, roughly 60%, get even close to the recommended 30mins/ 5 days a week of moderate intensity exercise. With our growing technology and our increasing sedentary lifestyle, we are ticking time bombs. I created THRIVE42, because there is a real need for a practical way to incorporate health habits into our sedentary workspaces. I come into businesses with a three pronged approach; Educate. Challenge. Practice. Employees learn and practice new health habits for each of the 6 weeks (42 days). Every week has a health theme and a challenge. They compete against each other on a point system.. The physical and mental health benefits can truly be endless! Employees work together, and have fun trying new things.
